The Artisan Refraction Station

One Modern Clinical System. Two Patient Workflows.

Wheelchair-Accessible Refraction — Finally Done Right

Patient-first design. No transfers required.

Healthcare has evolved—but many exam lanes haven’t.

The Artisan Wheelchair-Accessible is purpose-built for accessibility. It allows patients to remain comfortably in their wheelchair throughout refraction—eliminating transfers, reducing strain on both patients and staff, and improving workflow efficiency.

The result is a safer, smoother, and more dignified exam experience.

Traditional Patient Seating

For ambulatory patients, the Artisan system pairs with an office-style chair to deliver a comfortable, familiar exam experience.

Unlike traditional chairs and stands, the Artisan offers a flexible, yet distinct and modern alternative. Its integrated design works to preserve full clinical functionality—creating a cleaner, more modern exam lane without compromising performance.

Handcrafted Quality. Built to Last. Versatile.

The Artisan is constructed with a heavy-duty steel platform and a 1.5" solid maple wood top handcrafted in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

  • Includes a sliding instrument base with integrated refractor arm
  • Compatible with a range of automated diagnostic devices
  • Slit lamp compatibility is specific to IBEX slit lamp models
  • Accommodates your preferred office-style patient chair and physician exam stool

Modern Imaging Integration — optional as shown above left

When paired with our Opteon Slit Lamp Imaging system, the Artisan transforms the exam lane into a modern, design-forward workspace—distinct in appearance, highly organized, and reflective of a practice that stands apart.

Ambulatory Patient Seating Options

For ambulatory patients, the Artisan system pairs with an office-style chair to support a comfortable, familiar exam experience. Modern office seating options offer a wide range of high-quality designs that go beyond tradition.

Today’s office chairs are built with improved ergonomics, durable materials, high weight capacities (700lbs) and refined aesthetics that better match contemporary clinical environments.

This flexibility allows practices to select seating that aligns with their space, workflow, and visual identity, whether that means a clean, minimal office chair or a more supportive ergonomic design.

Patient chair shown is sold separately ($149) and available through third-party retailers such as Amazon
